Ray Lin
Project Director
Ray Lin is a project manager with Davenport Partners, responsible for the day-to-day operations of various projects. His responsibilities include leasing, property management, capital improvements and financial reporting.
Mr. Lin started his real estate career in the early 1990s with a Southern California developer. His projects at that time included the conversion of an old K-Mart building into an indoor mall, ground up construction of a 7-acre shopping center, luxury condominiums in Santa Monica and rehabilitation of several office buildings. In 1994, he joined Jeff Nickell in his private consulting practice, providing real estate advisory services to institutional clients such as banks and insurance companies. The assignments ranged from receivership, asset management, to lease negotiations, due diligence and disposition management. The project types varied from shopping centers to hotels.
In 1997, when Spieker Properties established its Los Angeles County operation, Ray joined the company as a project manager overseeing the company’s Pasadena portfolio of four Class-A office buildings totaling approximately 700,000 sf. He supervised a staff of twelve with an annual operating budget of over $6 million. In 2001, Equity Office Properties acquired Spieker Properties. Ray stayed on with Equity Office, assuming the role of senior property manager for the company’s Cerritos Towne Center portfolio. Throughout his career, Ray tenant base ranged from 200,000 sf. Fortune 500 users to sub-1,000 sf. sole practitioners.
Mr. Lin emigrated from Taiwan to the United States in 1988. He speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. He received an M.B.A. from The University of California in Riverside and resides in Arcadia, California with his wife and two daughters.
